  First of all it takes guts to film and post your work so good for you. I retired after 43 years, mostly very large commercial a/c, and 20+ years evening tech school instructor. Others have mentioned a few items  of concern so I will just add a couple  items for your future use. The reversible motor wires are labeled so you could check and set them up before mounting the motor and always check the amperage because depending on correct fan blade placement within the schroud it could be either over or under rla of the rating. Never assume it was correct before. I hope all these suggestions are helpful and you learned something. Good luck with your career it's an amazing opportunity.

  Low voltage wire was damaged by a weed eater, probably the same maintenance man did that.

  Running those wires through a hole with no grommet kinda sucks, and that wire through the grill does too.

  I'm impressed at your demeanor throughout. Everything the previous guy touched, you had to fix. And that magnetic base for your umbrella is great! LOL, experience taught you that bit of wisdom. Nice job. Congrats on your growing family!
