The worst state to be in is to be understimulated and bored when you ADHD seeks stimulation, while simultanously completely drained and burnedout when your Autistic brain seeks quiet. I want to do something, something cool and ambitious, the idea excites me, but the idea of actually doing any of those things is immediately overwhelming. Adn you sit there for hours doing nothing just tired from all the things that you thought of doing but didn't even start. Now try to explain to neurotypical person that you are just too tired from thinking about doing something.

The ADHD part of my brain yelling GO GO GO vs the autistic part wanting to rest is so, so real.
My energy levels are always a rollercoaster every day of the week

Thank you for not including annoying music in the background

Before I knew I had either, I used to call myself a walking contradiction. And doctors thought I was faking things because I would have different answers or feelings depending on whether autism or ADHD was in charge at the moment

ADHD: Bouncing around like a ping-pong ball.
ASD: Running into a wall repeatedly, until it gives in.
AUDHD: Bouncing around like a ping-pong ball trapped inside a concrete box.

A funny sign my doc and I discovered: in lightly stressful environments my anxiety is really bad, but in extremely stressful (emergencies) I am very calm. Doc thinks the adrenaline acts like a stimulant which in the case of my brain slows it down. This was a crazy epiphany for me.

The one that got me the most, was being super productive one day and then the next day needing to be in bed for hours or even days. Wow, that’s me.

Basically all of them. And the saddest part is: for the most part of my life I thought it was just my fault, I wasn't trying hard enough and if I just could change that one thing. Still think so sometimes today. I'm in my fourties and without an official diagnosis and only recently have I allowed myself to think that maybe AuDHD might be the explanation.

The internet is a godsend for us AuDHDers for socializing. We can get a whole lot of social stimulation, but we can step away at a moment's notice without having to go anywhere and there's no facial expressions to manage or observe, and we can do all the awkward stimming we want with no judgement so long as it's not loud enough to be picked up by a mic.

I did as you mentioned: instead „clean home” I wrote „clean kitchen”. I ended up cleaning kitchen tiles for 3-4 hours instead of taking care of dishes and cleaning oven etc.
