I am overwhelmed by the support for my podcast. I started it 2 years ago in my bedroom because I felt different and misunderstood. Two years later, after speaking to hundreds of amazing guests, I have never been more certain that none of us are broken, we are different, and we have always been enough. Thank you so much for your support. Alex 💚

I don't hate people, I just feel better when they are not around.

That’s me…wanting to be connected and avoiding to be connected…

I haven't even gotten past the into, and I've already gotten goosebumps: "I wasn't lonely because nobody loved me, I was lonely because nobody truly knew me." I feel that. 😥

scary indeed. I am 55 and feel like every tribe I put energy into turned out to be superficial acquaintances at best.

I could really relate to the part about not understanding the boundary between acquaintance and friendship until it's too late. Also at times, I can see the micro expressions on people's faces and know that I have said too much.

I'm lonely when I'm around people, not so when I'm by myself.

Imagine how frustrating it would be for someone with autism to click on a video that proclaims 5 signs of people with AuDHD but spends 47 minutes never giving a clear list of 5 things.

This  61 yr old diagnosed 2 yrs ago AUDHD crevice dweller is so appreciative of your content. Here I am seen. I do exist. Sorry edited again, I wanted to add that this content is cathartic as well as educational. I watch and am brought to tears.

I was diagnosed with AuDHD at 60.  It explained things, it didn't solve anything.  And it did take away any hope of ever finding a place I'd fit in.  I never have found my tribe, as a female in a male dominated industry guys didn't want to date me, women and I didn't connect.  Menopause made working extremely difficult.  I'm constantly exhausted.  It isn't fun.

Just diagnosed at the age of 55 with AuDHD, I started Elvanse 8 weeks ago and it has changed my life completely in 100's of ways.I feel like my life is just beginning! Better late than never hey! I no longer feel that I need to drink socially,I have the confidence now to just be me.I am actually starting to quite like me for me after so many years of self loathing and hatred.Without being medicated I know I was at the end of the line, throw perimenopause into that and it was like a living nightmare.Thank you Alex,I think you are incredible.

What if you're wearing a mask for so long you can't remember if there really was a "me" to start with, and became the mask itself?
