  My daughter&apos;s first grade teacher did not decorate the classroom. She said that the kids are in charge of decorating with their artwork and classwork throughout the year. It made my daughter take so much pride in that classroom because she had a hand in making the room amazing!! Daughter is going into 8th grade and still remembers how much she loved that classroom.

  As a retired teacher, &nbsp;a visually quiet, calming, and organized classroom is ideal. The world is overstimulating. Give your students a peaceful environment to learn in.

  Some of these people need to be party planners not teachers. &nbsp;Not only are these activities very costly, but they offer very little in terms of increased learning opportunities. As someone who has fond memories of my own &nbsp;early education, I can tell you I do not remember anything about the actual space. I do however remember the teachers that were kind, caring and made me feel comfortable and capable.

  I wouldn’t cry over a lack of decor in my child’s classroom. However, I’d probably pop a tear if I discovered my child’s teacher was an influencer.

  My daughter’s third grade teacher had Dojo rewards like sitting in the teacher’s chair, getting fun little erasers, being teacher’s helper. I can’t believe the Nerds/Dunkin reward. As a mom, I’d be furious for many reasons.

  Filming in classrooms, especially when school is in session and children are present feels like a HUGE safety issue. Especially in this current day and age.

  Veteran American teacher here - I advise young teachers not to work outside of contract hours. &nbsp;You’re not getting paid for it, and it won’t make you a better teacher. &nbsp;It will make you burnt out. &nbsp;Do your best with the hours you are there, and let go of what is outside of your control. &nbsp;My job is academic, and I would like my students to think critically about their role in the ecosystem. &nbsp;A bunch of plastic crap is modeling poor earth citizenship. &nbsp;My classroom is peaceful and calm. &nbsp;Less is more.
