  A total hit job with the omission of significant facts. The Papal States existed before being occupied by Italy during the 19th century. The agreement with Italy gave the pope Italian recognition of a fraction of what the papacy had lost. Pius XI on several occasions condemned the extreme right. He did this with action francaise during the 1920s. He condemned Italian fascism in non abbiamo bisogno in 1931 and national socialism in Germany in 1937 with mit brennender sorge, one of the greatest ever condemnations of a political regime by the catholic church. Eugenio Pacelli drafted it on the pope's behalf and resisted efforts by others to weaken the tone of the criticism of the Nazis. Pius XI approved of what Pacelli wrote. This documentary also ignored the fact that Pius XII had Jewish friends his whole life from as early as his childhood. While working as the papal nuncio in Germany he made 44 public speeches 40 of which were critical of the Nazis. As early as 1933 the papal nuncio protested to the German government over the boycott of Jewish businesses.  Saying that the Nazis and fascists wanted pacelli as pope is an absolute lie. The headline of a French socialist newspaper was "setback to Mussolini," after pius XII got elected. The Nazis boycotted his coronation which says everything.  This video never mentions that as early as 1939 Pius XII was working with the German resistance to try to overthrow Adolf Hitler. Dr Joseph Mueller from Munich was Pius XII's man in the German resistance and he gave his blessing to an attempt to assassinate Hitler. That is a far cry from the passive portrayal of Pius XII which is shown in this video. The resistance advised Pius XII not to explicitly name any ruler or country in condemning the injustices of war. There is no reference to the encyclical Summi Pontificatus issued in 1939. In it Pius XII condemned the German and Russian invasion of Poland. He also mentioned "there is neither gentile nor Jew." British and French planes dropped this encyclical over Germany. They must have thought it significant during wartime. In 1942 there was the horrifying experience of Holland.. Archbishop de Jong of Utrecht  publicly condemned the deportation of Dutch Jews. The Nazis retaliated by murdering tens of thousands of Jews. Pius XII was then seen by Sister Pasqualina burning his protest. He said to her "it tens of thousands die because of an Archbishop's protest then hundreds of thousands will die because of a pope's protest." In 1938 the Nazis burned down Jewish buildings and murdered Jews during kristallnacht after 1 Jew killed a German embassy official. That was indicative of how psychopaths respond to provocation.  This video makes no reference to the Pope's secret messages requesting Jewish safe passage to Franco and Salazar which were granted when the Jews wanted to go to the safety of the Dominican Republic via Spain and Portugal. Neither did it mention Pius XII's telegram to Admiral Horthy to prevent the deportation of Hungarian Jews.  This film mentions the deportation of Roman Jews but does not mention Pius XII asked his nephew and Monsignor Hudal to intervene with the German army to stop it. This was achieved successfully which saved most of the Jews there.  Pius XII ordered convents and monasteries in Rome to shelter Jews in danger from the Nazis. It is fundamentally dishonest not to mention this. Pius XII also put Jewish refugees up in his own accommodation of Castle Gandolfo. Pinchas Lapide was Jewish. During the 1960s his book the last 3 popes and the Jews said that the catholic church saved between 700000 and 860000 Jews during the holocaust, far more than every other religious and relief organisation put together.  In 1955 Israel sent her orchestra to play in honour of Pius XII as a mark of gratitude for the help he gave Jews during the Holocaust. In 1958 when pope Pius XII Golda Meir as Israel's foreign minister paid him a heartfelt tribute. That is highly significant.  Pius XII is one of the most unjustly condemned men in history.

  Quem não saber história está fardado a repetir infelizmente os que estão no poder só querem domínios territoriais a primeira Guerra e nessa qu estamos assistindo da Segunda Guerra Mundial nos ensina que ninguém ganhar nada só perdemos principalmente Vidas inocentes na primeira Guerra Mundial perdemos mais de 60 milhões de pessoas! Na segunda Guerra Mundial perdemos mais de 80 milhões será que ninguém apreendeu com essas histórias de horror massacre em massa ? Infelizmente o sistema global os dominantes pensam so em poder e território e não em perdas de vida! Lamentável triste isso!
