  I listened to this with my elderly mother. She had the best time, has laughed until she wept. Thank you for entertaining and teaching us about history in such an engaging and lighthearted way. Maddie’s comment about the undead not being able to show their faces &nbsp;was hilarious!

  Weirdly, there&apos;s already a sort-of fanfic about Ibn Fahdlan. It&apos;s a short story called &apos;Eaters of the Dead&apos; by Michael Crichton (author of Jurassic Park etc). They made it into a movie in the late &apos;90s called &apos;The 13th Warrior&apos; where Antonio Banderas teams up with a bunch of Northmen to basically plagiarise Beowulf only with weird cannibals instead of actual monsters.
