  History and media has really done her dirty. In popular media she is so often portrayed as a mean girl, teenage seductress, or poor, young and stupid victim. Even some of the more modern interpretation of her as a possible victim of grooming and CSA still reduces her to a victim of cermstance. I always figured there was more to her &nbsp;story. <br>This is the first time I&apos;ve really heard her described as a whole person and not a caricature to fit a narrative. I didn&apos;t realized just how unlikely her rise to queen was and it informs so much about her past relationships. She really does seem that she was just playing the cards she was dealt to the best advantage to her. And meanwhile the men in her life were being messy, emotional, crybabies.

  As funny as the cheeseboard outtake is, the part that had me personally in stitches was the part about Anne and Catherine as two different generations of gay icons.

  Loved the fact that Gareth Russell pointed out the common factor in Anne Boleyn&apos;s and Catherine Howard&apos;s downfalls and executions was Henry VIII. He was also the perpetrator of Catharine of Aragon&apos;s painful divorce proceedings and treatment, and Anne of Cleves&apos; embarrassing annulment, fortunate though it turned out to be.

  Please bring back Garreth Russel! I love hearing his voice and you’re conversations with y’all is soo much fun and interesting! Loved to hear my favorites being talked about like HUMAN BEINGS! The thought of kitty dancing in glitter while her old cousin Anne is looking at her in amusement but carefully avoiding touching her haha
