It's been pointed out to me that the number inside the cover of my 1930s copy of Snow White more likely reads "1935" than "1933", as I stated in the video. Honestly, I'm not entirely certain, as the number is hard for me to read, but 1935 is probably correct.

To this day and after countless viewings, the apple/attempted rescue scenes deliver emotionally every time. The mix of subdued horror, suspense, intense on-edge anxiety and even humor in those scenes is brilliant. And the vulture scene remains an unrivaled masterstroke in the annals of Disney villain comeuppance.

It is beautiful isn't it, thanks to Walt's perfectionism. Nearly 90 years old now. Even the soundtrack records are perfect.

"Nerts!" was an exclamation in the 1920s in the U.S. It could express annoyance or exasperation, of mean "crazy."
