  I loved living in the Lehigh valley close to NYC, Philly, New Jersey, beautiful scenery, and DC all within 3 hours

  My wife and I are both from Uniontown. We left there in 86 when I joined the military. Love going back there for hunting and fishing and really miss it but could never live there again.

  Harrisburg was a great place to grow up during the 1950s - 1960s.<br> Also had relatives in Shenandoah, Pottsville, Minersville. They were decent coal towns back then, too.

  Intrestingly Erie beats Reading in Murder,burglary and motor vehicle theft rates but not general theft rates for some reason but both are relatively overall below average crime rates!

  How bizarre! I live in Pittsburgh now although I&apos;m from New Castle (🤮), but I&apos;ve loved my trips to the Harrisburg/York/Lancaster area so much that I strongly considered moving there.
