  It&apos;s amazing how such a high level of crafting of the different parts doesn&apos;t draw attention to itself to the detriment of the song, it still sounds simple and &apos;pop&apos;.

  My inner music nerd thanks you for feeding him. And, despite looking behind the curtain, the magic of this song endures: a tribute to the power of the spells of our youth maybe.

  Tears for Fears were not only genius composers, but their records had a superb audio quality. For example Woman in Chains is taken as a reference track in many recording studios

  That opening guitar is one of the best hooks ever. &nbsp;As soon as you hear it, you start tapping your fingers or your feet and you literally prepare yourself for that rhythm and synth bass

  I’m not a musician. In fact I’ve never even picked up an instrument. This video was so well done that it not only kept my interest, I found it completely fascinating. Of course it helped that this is one of my favorite songs of all time. 😊<br>Very well done! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  Tears for Fears is one of the few true standout bands of the 80s/90s who made great records filled with engagingly beautiful songs, that were also masterpieces of high fidelity recording and production!

  One of the best songs ever written in music history. It’s timeless. A lot of people don’t know but Ian Stanley co-wrote this song with Roland and producer Chris Hughes and a lot of their songs in the first two albums. He had a heavy influence on their sound as well. Fun fact also that this song would’ve never been finished and released if it wasn’t for Roland’s wife Caroline and producer Chris Hughes.
