As a musician whose absolute favorite thing is writing and creating I literally can’t get enough of these types of videos. It’s always the accidental, initially overlooked, “boring” creations that end up being hits. I love it

I remember the first time hearing it in the 80’s. I instinctively turned the volume up and kept it up. And still do today.

Can you imagine not having this song in the world ?? Well here is the story about how close we came to that

Great to hear how the song was written. Everybody wants to go to war. Times don’t change!!

Chris Hughes is a star and a visionary. Simply put, had it not been for his drive this song would not have been in existence... can you even imagine?! This is one of the few greatest and timeless songs ever written. I can't actually believe Roland Orzabal and Ian Stanley dismissing this track that they had such a huge role in making, especially Roland. I think Curt was a bit more understanding when Chris Hughes kept persuading them to work on this track. Thank you Chris and it was a privilege meeting you at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017 before a TFF concert.

FUNKIN BRILLIANT. Shows again how the best songs are the wirst songs and how they come about by accident. Human Leagues Don’t you want me, the lead singer HATED It (read the wiki on it). AI can’t give you these emotions

<b>"Everybody wants to go to war."</b> is still appropriate today.

Tears for Fears didn't like their biggest song, RHCP didn't want to record Under the Bridge, Pearl Jam didn't want to record Better Man, Nirvana didn't like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Warren Zevon wrote Werewolves of London as a joke and didn't want to release it, Blur wrote Song 2 as a joke and didn't want to release it...their biggest song. The White Stripes thought Seven Nation Army was a filler track. The Police didn't like Every Breath You Take....on and on. Interesting. Maybe these songs are not over worked or over thought....because they were thought as throwaways, and that's where the charm comes out.
