  One thing I always try to keep in mind with ANY hobby, is that in the time you have to do that hobby, you can either get better, or you can get faster, and if you want to achieve either you have to set just one as your goal at the start. <br><br>And the best part is that both sides feed into each other, if I work on getting faster, and then i concentrate on getting better - i get to where I want to be quicker, and if i concentrate on getting better, then when I try to go fast I get better results.

  I really need to start trying to paint directly with the color I want instead of using 200 layers to go from shadow tone to highlight. What you demonstrated on the skin and the poncho is incredible, and is going to cut a really long painting time doing something that I don&apos;t especially enjoy in the paintjob.<br>Thanks a lot !

  Thanks for this. Especially with Golden Demon, people throw around some pretty large numbers for painting times, and unless you can somehow make that your full-time job, there&apos;s a feeling of &quot;Well I&apos;m never going to be able to put that much time into this.&quot;<br><br>I suspect a lot of unfinished / unstarted pieces are stuck in limbo because of the belief that it will take dozens or evern hundreds of hours to paint them.
