Excellent video! Rarely do I watch a "5 reasons you suck" vid and find something actually helpful, but this time EVERY point here was great!

I am definitely guilty of overworking paint, I always end up being unpatient, as I really want to achieve a lot of progress in the time I can dedicate to my paint jobs. Really good reminder, that it is quite counterproductive. This also can happen if you are wet-blending and the paint dries a bit to fast...

The paint tearing hurt my feelings, and half the time I swear I've waited long enough!

Great video!<br><br>One thing I'd like to add here as a mistake that I definitely make and need to work on is trusting the process with very liquid paints.<br><br>Like with washes, glazes, inks and so on.<br><br>When I tried glazing, i always just saw this blob of almost water like thing forming, never drying and going "Oh no! It's not working! It's going to run all over the place!"<br><br>But in reality it won't. It will look wetter and runnier compared to applying a regular 50/50 mix of acrylic paint and water, and it will look that way for longer.<br><br>But once a layer is applied, just sit back and wait. The water will evaporate and the thin layer of acrylic paint pigments will be deposited where they are, even if it looks like they're going to end up all over the place 😆

Hey. Grt teaching...but geared for mechanised models eg warhammer, with significant amounts of armour. What about Napoleonics? How could I apply this to jackets or trousers at 25 or 28mm scales? 🤷♂️
