  I don&apos;t why these things keep going on about this. Yes, Smokey did things that were &quot;not within the spirit&quot; of the rule, and used that to his advantage. But not everyone was stupid, Smokey was smart. Stupid would be not writing a rule against something you know exists and don&apos;t want.<br><br>Early in any sport, or business, you don&apos;t know what people are capable of. Stupid would be not reacting to it.<br><br>In my career as an inspector, knowing what what was possible by the 90s, I played the game back at them. When inspecting the winner, or random cars, I would ask them to do something. I told them why, nobody ever figured out what I was looking actually looking at. The thing was, the &quot;technology&quot; never existed. If I was looking for for something no one ever heard of, what else was I looking for?<br><br>And it&apos;s darn frustrating, to see images that have nothing to do with the subject matter.<br><br>Have you ever asked about why the cars are kept in an open garage? Competitors make the best inspectors. In the old days, they were less &quot;open&quot; about snitching.

  FINALLY. &nbsp;A video that actually tells the correct SMOKEY not what people wanted to hear, but some of the actual truths. We will never know what all he had up his sleeve. But told enough to say this is the closest video on the man yet. Mr. Yunick was way ahead of his time, but also made NASCAR BETTER. Made the Frances pay a whole lot more attention to their rules on how to build a better racecar. Their rule book went from a &quot;SATURDAY NITE PURE STOCK rule book to a rule book as thick as a phone book. THANK YOU SMOKEY FOR ALL YOU DID FOR THE SPORT OF AUTO RACING. GOD BLESS YOU.

  Do the math, 2 inch hose x 11 ft long = 1.8 gallons + or - a little.

  That wet sand in the roll cage is not going to dry out unless it is well ventilated. Was the roll cage full of holes?

  There was no cheat. The car was legal. The engineering was in advance of the rule book. An in Smokey Yunick&apos;s grand style of &nbsp;engineering delivery indeed !
