I'm really getting allergic to the words "game changer".

As a member of the Thorium Energy Alliance, I have been following these guys for years now and anyone who is negative about their approach, has no clue about the technical challenges in successfully developing this technology. These people have poured their lives into this and from the start, have had a clear path towards achieving it that has only become clearer as they have overcome different challenges. Their leasing thermal energy platform is unique in itself. I am very pleased to hear that they have figured out how to purify the lithium large scale. There are many approaches to nuclear energy and this company is full of doers and not just thinkers. Cudos to Copenhagen Atomics!<br>One request Ricky? Can we please stop picturing nuclear waste as 55 gallon steel drums lying in creek beds and only show it in the safe ways in which it is actually handled? False depictions of nuclear hazards is exactly what the lying antinuclear energy groups have done for decades now and have prolonged a lot of human suffering because of it.

The "waste" that comes from a LFTR is only waste in the context of not being useful to the reactor itself. That "waste" is actually in high demand from other industries as well as medical applications.

Thorium was abandoned because the US government wanted a source of nuclear bomb materials coming from uranium based reactors.

This video is very good because many know about the theoretical advantages of thorium reactors, but the practical stuff totally rocks. The real reason why the LFTR didn’t take off in 2010, is because the US shuttled it until 2017, when a new DOE and admin advocated for it. Then, the practicality was worked out. An analogous situation happened when Tesla began working for Edison, and working hard, but not what he wanted to work on. He had already invented the concepts of moving electromagnetic fields key to alternating current, but broke loose from Edison and got backing to work the patents for polyphase alternating current power. George Westinghouse is rarely talked about, but he was key to not only Tesla’s success but the success of the US.

I worked on liquid metal fast breeder reactor designs in the mid-1970s. It's great to see progress in this area.

Denmark Rocks - Imagine a counry that have a 40 years old ban on domestic nuclear power production stil try to develop tech for the future.
