  As a Navajo, THANK YOU so much for speaking correctly of Skinwalkers. They really are witches who use bad medicine and animal skins to transform into. Not them wendigo looking things people say are skinwalkers. Theyre normal humans like you and I, but at night they do their evil ceremonies for curses against people and transform into their skins to taunt them or just roam about. It can be anyone, even your relatives or friends. They have a powder called corpse powder that they blow, and if it gets on you, you die. They paint or dust themselves with white clay.  They used to "yannie" (modern Navajo slang for witching for guzhii (Navajo word for witching sorta))soldiers during the conflicts back then, and our warriors, when these yannies(modern slang word for skinwalkers based on traditional word) yannied the Diné people, they would tie them to ant hills for torture and warn them that if they yannied any of the people again, they'd kill them. Over time this stopped due to the law, and yannies roam unchecked. They can use spirits, even from nature, and bring them into your homes or to you to bother you. They take possessions from you to use to witch you. Navajo wise, we don't use things from dead people, because it's taboo. When people die, we burn everything, because they remain trapped in this world. Skinwalkers can use possessions from people that died, including their bones, to haunt. I have a bunch of skinwalker stories. I think all navajos do as well as the border towns people.

  Skinwalkers are so scary! In Mexico we also have a creature like that. The Aztecs believed that some witch or sorcerer could transform into animals: los nahuales

  Philippines have our own version of this. &quot;Aswang&quot; are said to turn into animals. <br><br>My aunt once saw from her window, a man jumped from her neighbor&apos;s roof and turned into a dog. Real shit

  The guy in the first story had all the self preservation of a pea. If you see something not quite right, you get the heck out of there, not stay another night. I mean, &quot;If you see something, no you didn&apos;t&quot; doesn&apos;t work if you literally stare at it for a while because by staring, you&apos;ve acknowledged it exists and after there is no pretending.<br><br>With the second story, If any elders tell you to stay a night and leave in the daytime or a day after, best listen. Elders don&apos;t warn you like that for no reason...

  First let me say I love your channel, I love your voice ❤<br>Second, I am Diné (or Navajo), I have some pretty creepy skinwalker stories from my own experience on the reservation. I just wanted to say you were spot on and that is rare when it comes to telling what a skinwalker is. Most people say and think skinwalker is a creature that stays a skinwalker, it is not, its a human who can shape shift into the creature and back to human form. They are &quot;normal&quot; people.<br>Also, I have not heard of the &quot;witch hunt&quot;. What I&apos;ve heard was that skinwalkers and their witch craft were utilized to help during the long walk. Their super speed was used for scouting and the craft itself was used to curse the soldiers and kill them even. Upon return to the four corners in 1868 and soon after skinwalking changed due to devastation experienced from losing everything and it became more evil and has been used as such since. As with anything else, I&apos;m sure there were many changes within the craft itself over time.

Nothing to worry about. Definitely stay another night there. Nothing bad could possibly happen. <br><br>If I saw something even remotely similar to that I&apos;d be out of there so fast the skinwalker would be left wondering if it saw a ghost.

  It’s strange. Despite their notorious reputation, the entities involved in these recounted encounters don’t seem to do much to the witnesses. If they were predatory, you’d expect them to attack openly. But in these cases, they either stand and watch or run alongside their vehicles before fleeing. They come across as either curious, mischievous, or maybe even trying to give us a warning rather than being outright hostile (well, with the exception of that poor calf).<br><br>It’s almost as if they’re aware of their legendary status and are simply playing with us.

  Hearing what happened to the Navajo it completely breaks my heart how they where treated couldn’t speak, couldn’t do there couture couldn’t do anything am truly sorry what happened to them considering the fact that this is where it all started!!! Everyone has a story to tell that tells powerful stories 🙌🫶🔥
