  As a &quot;cool kid sommelier&quot;, I completely agree that there is nothing wrong with how most of the entry-level Grande Marque Champagnes taste, but I have every problem with how expensive they are in the UK in relation to the quality you can get from Grower Champagne at the same price point. As shown here, the Andre Clouet comes in at a similar price point, and even cheaper than the Veuve, and is a Grand Cru wine rated as their #1 pick. For the style of Champagne that I prefer, I will always see greater value, style, and individuality in grower Champagne :)

  Peter, you remind me of my dad &nbsp; who was a sommelier &amp; sold fine wines in the N End in Boston. He always said that everyone has their own pallet. I really miss him &amp; watching this made me feel he was watching you with me. 🍾🥂

  For a recipe to celebration we had a bottle of veuve and a bottle of Moët. None of us had had them and we were all used to $15 “champagne”. EVERYONE immediately remarked that veuve was a massive leap over anything we had had before. None of the younger people preferred &nbsp;the Moët and some complained that it was too acidic.
