I saw this in the theater the day it came out and the whole audience gasped at the end. One of the reasons that this film did so well at the box office was because people went back to see the movie a second time to see the clues that they missed the first time.

Cole always knew that Malcolm was dead. This is the reason he was running into the church. He grabs the religious figurines as he was leaving the church.

We all have had the same reaction. You're no different from any of us. That's why it's one of my favorite movies of all time just because of how it got me. I usually have a movie figured out but this time I didn't. I don't know how anybody could get through this movie and not cry, especially when he talks to his mom in the car after the bicycle accident

You really noticed important details that other reviewers didn’t…..the white streak in the hair, the red door of the church, the red door knob, etc. I laughed when you said “are the ghosts in the room with you now?” after he confessed his secret. Yup there was a ghost there.
