Yes, please to a perimenopause episode, there is not enough info about the link between ND and perimenopause. It seems to equally kick autistic and ADHDers ass. Also nutrition is a special interest of mine, a good diet helps autistic people just as much as ADHDers and similar advice would stand in terms of look after the gut with fibre, protein, good fats etc. :)

I have 3 flavors of fruit tea (lots of flavor, no sugar) in pitchers in the fridge so I can rotate through them. Drank ZERO.
Figured out that the extra step of pouring the tea into a cup is "too hard" so I batch poured the tea into sports-bottles, and now I drink like anything.

ADHD brain hates that extra step. Loves the different flavors.

Nurse here. The artificial sweeteners trick your body into thinking you’ve consumed sugar. You then release insulin to lower your blood sugar, causing a drop that then makes you crave actual sugar to compensate. In short, they’re a waste of time 😄 and potentially damaging too. I’d much rather have limited real sugar than resort to that stuff!

Edit: Some people have refuted and been downright offended by what I have said, which I stand by. Please feel free to do your own research and do what you feel is best for you 🙂

    Something I learned with ADHD

It's helpful to think is of Wednesday as hump day so that if you are doing good then you can continue to do good on Wednesday. But if you're doing bad then Wednesday you can start all over again

Best (and most doable!) nutrition advice I've ever received: don't restrict, add.

So if you want chocolate, have the chocolate! Just maybe have it with fruit or nuts. If you want to eat chips or pretzels, that's fine, but try adding some protein with it. If instead of forcing yourself to give up your cravings or restricting calories (both of which will always eventually fail!), have a reasonable amount of what you want and just focus on adding one new thing that you need more of (such as fruits/veg, fiber, protein, healthy fats, or whatever). Once that one thing no longer feels hard, start working on adding another one.

Changing your whole diet at once takes too much planning, time, will-power, and sometimes even money, to be sustainable and often ends with you binging ice cream late at night and throwing out a whole crisper drawer full of rotten celery and kale, but adding a little bit of what your body needs to the things your brain already wants doesn't feel nearly as torturous.

I've found that just remembering to eat consistently makes a huge difference. I have to set the bar low sometimes 😄

As someone who has done an absolute 180° on the diet I was raised eating, I can tell you that your tastes do change if you stick with it. I would actually suggest cutting out junk food completely. These junk foods are literally designed to be addictive. It would be like telling an addict to just use drugs occasionally. Cut them out completely. I used to HATE dark chocolate. Now it's a delicious treat and I love it. It's worth it to cut those things out. Don't let people make billions off of poisoning you. Don't support a business with your hard earned money who is going to use it to poison a generation. Break out, live healthy, your tastes will change if you stick with it. Also learn how to bake and make treats at home. Then they are delicious and you know what's in them. Good luck everyone! You are worth the effort!

Vitamin K2 should be paired with Vitamin D3 to ensure that the calcium absorbed by the Vitamin D is properly directed into the bones and teeth rather than accumulating in the arteries.

I find it easier to remeber to drink water at my desk when I keep a clear glass instead of an opaque bottle on my desk. 🤷🤷
