Man, it’s a good thing there isn’t a real world parallel to this. One arrest,
One scapegoat in exchange for an elaborate decades spanning coverup protecting the most powerful people in the world committing some of the worst crimes humanly possible.

Good thing, right? 🤬

Errol was the hammer, not the carpenter.

True Detective season one was the best season of tv ever made. It was an 8 hour movie.

It's interesting that towards the end, both characters confront this. Rust is fretting that there are still members of the cult out there, and Marty acknowledges that while also telling him "we got ours." I think there's a solid message there that's implied, where you may not be able to tear down the structure, but at the very least they stopped one monster of it and saved anyone he might've killed in the future, and that's not nothing.

I’m sure there are many Errols out there, protected all the way to the top who have done far worse things

This guy would be my pick for Judge Holden if they ever come around to making Blood Meridian

Glenn Fleshler is a very underrated actor. He doesn't overact & he lets scenes stew in the tension. Great at being unsettling. Reminds me of Javier Bardem.

Glenn Fleshler's performance was excellent. But he's great in everything he does (Boardwalk Empire, Billions).

This is exactly why Rust said " the one in the video was taller" he knew it didn't make a difference to get this guy, he knew! amazing video by the way :D is great to see people still talking about true detective

This season was inspired by multiple real cases but strongly by that which was investigated by journalist Nick Bryant in his essential book "The Franklin scandal"
