  I believe the fact that they left the other body on the floor with no care, is a representation of how she treats herself. "You are one", you know? I cried in a lot of parts in this movie - as someone who struggled with self hate and that I still am guilty of treating myself badly sometimes, this movie just felt incredibly sad. Elizabeth was used until there was nothing left, literally - personally, I loved the ending. To me it felt like a you know what? Hell yeah. Living like this is violent, this industry is violent, being a woman is a bloodbath, and it is cruel and visceral. Not all movies need to be subtle, you know?

  Watching this as a 56 year old woman who has become invisible to men, this was a trip. Would I want to be my younger self? Not really. I like my peaceful life now, with no pressure to look a certain way anymore. I no longer fear ageing because I am already there, and it’s not half as bad as I thought it would be. Good things happen when you accept yourself, and you realise that the only person whose opinion of you matters is your own opinion ❤

  I am SO glad someone finally caught the addiction themes and understood they are still one consciousness. It's like an addiction. A substance addiction.. She goes to a sketchy place once a week to get her fix. It's like how addicts see themselves as two different people, the high self and the sober self. In a more mild example, we can probably all relate to saying 'ugh drunk me is such an idiot. I can't believe what drunk me did last night'. When she's Sue she's addicted to the feeling of being young, attractive, loved and seen by everyone. She disregards her health and her body. Then when she's Elisabeth (sober) she regrets everything she did and feels like shit, but she just can't stop using and becoming Sue, even when it's rotting her from the inside

  The monster getting ready for the evening and lovingly admiring herself while doing her hair and adorning her jewels made me happy cry 🥹 it’s so cute in spite of the horror how she finds self love for just a moment no matter what the world might think
