  Hitman feels like it was made by people that had actually been to a nightclub/rave, not just the idea of nightclub.

  Night clubs are a funny thing to see in video games because, as a location, they&apos;re everything you want to avoid in game design: they&apos;re noisy (both in sound and visuals), busy as hell and actually physically hard to navigate as a space. A night club is everything you DON&apos;T want to be in or make in a video game, and so much of these examples are the developers basically trying to get across the idea of a night club without having to actually make one.<br><br>I think the reason Hitman nails it is because the game is essentially weaponizing those difficulties in night clubs as a space. In a Hitman game &apos;busy and hard to navigate&apos; are actually strong elements in its game design! You WANT to make those places!

  Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 1 still has &nbsp;the best nightclub vibes, not only because of the Club itself, but the world around makes you want to go/stay in that nightclub.

  I really thought the nightclub from Vampire: Bloodlines (2004) would take the cake. It&apos;s the first game I can remember where you can actually dance as a mechanic that gives you an actual in-game benefit (restoring humanity).

  Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines should&apos;ve made the list it managed to evoke night clubs with like less than 10 NPCs per location because 1. you can actually dance in them 2. Pull people in them 3. The grimy music and atmosphere went crazy.<br><br>The devs were smart by making the bars and clubs kinda claustrophobic because real clubs feel like that because of how many people are crammed in there. Most other devs make clubs way too large with way too few NPCs to fill them.
