  During the marketing cycle for Witcher 3 I remember them making a big deal out of the fact that they had a guy on the team whose job it was to make sure all the plant placements were ecologically accurate. I&apos;m sure they tried for accuracy with the rivers.

  austin i am in college to become an ecologist with a minor and certificate in hydrology and when things get tough with school i regularly return to your videos to remind myself of some of my passion and enthusiasm for hydrology. your videos have played a huge part in me remaining excited about my studies and doing well in school and enjoying it at the same time. so thank you.

  Fun fact that i think youd like austin, the term &quot;drowned estuary&quot; was coined in 1967, while &quot;river delta&quot; was coined in the 5th century BCE. They didnt get it wrong on accident, thats just what it would have been classified as in the age that The Witcher tries to present. Got curious about it while watching and did some research. Crazy how a video about game realism can do that.<br><br>&quot;The witcher isnt earth so it doesnt matter, youre just wrong&quot; sure but it was made by earth humans, has humans in it, and is mostly historical in its styling.   somewhere there&apos;s a game dev on a binge of this channel, and in 2030 they&apos;ll release a game that has fully accurate hydrology, terrain, infrastructure, signage, etc, and Austin&apos;s video will be like &quot;none of the faucets have knobs&quot;

  IIRC, Geralt refers to the Crookback Bog as &quot;Crookback Swamp&quot;, but is corrected by Kiera Metz. :D Geralt was right all along!
