The intro music isn't the same without those horse shoes slapping from Epona

Well, with Echoes of Wisdom, we had a bit of a more traditional OST mix and I really love it.
But in any case, Zelda music and sound design is always magical.

I still listen to the Legend of zelda 25th orchestra cd album that came with skyward sword i believe on the wii on the daily. THAT kakariko village song is my favorite zelda song of all time it's rendition is sooooo good 🥰🥰💚

It was this game that made me fall in love with video game music. Hearing that piano on the title screen just left me (and all of us) in awe.

The glazing of Sheik's theme really hit me lol. I like your points about how the music stays interesting. I never thought too hard about the free time-ish parts contrasting the typical steady beat, food for thought! Will tune in again!
P.S. Zelda's Lullaby was in A Link To The Past. It plays during some parts with Zelda and when speaking to the maidens after completing dungeons. I'm sure you already knew the opening theme goes back to the first Zelda on NES, as well as Mario Bros. 3! 😅

I really like the midi in this game. The flatness of it makes it feel kind of.. contained? intimate? Hard to replicate that on a real instrument

The N64 Cartrides where 32MB max so they used the N64's MIDI chipset as opposed to baking the soundtracks into the game. It gave this game such wonderfully vibrant and lively soundtracks that still brings back instant memories and nostalgia to this day 😊😊
