Relo'd to TN after 15+ years in the WDC area. Every day when I reconnected with the family my wife always seem to have a positive comment about how happy she was in TN! After about 4 months of this, she had an 'over the top' gushing of how much shew liked it in TN! So I asked, '...what happened today that was so great'? She proudly exclaimed: 'You know. when I was out driving today it dawned on me that we've been here 4 months...... and no one has given me the finger!' That became a new 'Quality of Life' statistic that we started tracking! 😀

As a native California, and now a long-time Tennessee resident, Tennessee is our home. California is a beautiful State to visit, but living there is another matter. We have met or run into so many Californians who have moved to Tennessee. Again, please don't "California" our Tennessee. Welcome here and thanks for sharing. God Bless.

I moved my family out of Los Angeles in 2018 after being born in raised in Pasadena since 78’. Best decision ever. It’s sad because CA is beautiful but it’s different today than what it was.

Great Morning from Northern California brother. Wife and I are both born and raised here and have really enjoyed it but it is madness as long as gruesome Newsome is destroying it. Our Great friends moved there after 2020 and are thriving in Tennessee. I would love to leave.. but we are praying 🙏 for the Lord to provide a way. Thank you for your video and prayers sir! 🤝💯☀️

I left California after 39 years there. Never thought I would. I made good money there, or what would be good money anywhere but there. Since 2020, although I was debt free, I couldn’t save fast enough to outpace both the rising housing prices and rising interest rates, I was watching my savings account grow but my buying power shrink. At the same time, neighborhoods that were always clean and quiet were increasing in crime and homelessness. Two years ago we packed up and drove to Tennessee. This video is pretty spot on. We were let down by the restaurants for the first year but eventually found the good ones. We’ve made watching the weather guy (Ryan Hall Y’all!) a routine, and we have to set up contingency plans in case of weather. What’s funny is on my first visits to TN I felt like there was a layer of dirt covering everything, like it just felt “dirty” and I always had mud on my shoes, but now when I go back to CA there’s a layer of pee and garbage on everything there that I didn’t notice as much while living in it— TN isn’t dirty, CA is. In CA we had a dozen parks in my city and where I live now we have two, but I have two acres so I don’t need a park. I couldn’t point to CA or TN and say “life is better there” but I knew when I relocated that my goal wasn’t to find a place I could pretend was California— in fact our realtor kept telling us about areas that Californians loved and I was like “I don’t want to leave California for little California! I want to burn my yard waste, raise chickens, and collect my rainwater!”

Been in California since ‘59. Seen a lot of changes. Some good. Lots of bad. I’m getting squeezed out. I understand why people would want to live here, but the culture has changed. I’m staying closer and closer to home. Don’t want to go out. Traffic is absurd. Civil planning not existent. Graffiti and trash. Hostile people. Considering moving. <br>Thanks for the video.

We moved to Hamblen county from Winchester VA last May. I love the 4 seasons which we do have here. I wish there were more snow tbh. We love, love, love all the lakes. More than anything though, I'm sooo glad we escaped Virginia given the last election where the governor, who ran as a moderate, is actually very progressive. So far, zero regrets.
