  I flukishly bought a '52 tele from a music store in Sydney. The salesman said it was an 84 reissue of a '52. I paid $1300 Australian dollars for it took it to another music store where they identified it as '52. They took the neck off and on the butt was Dec '52. I bought it because it was a sensational sounding instrument. They offered me $32K for it. Still got it, still play it.

  I am a professional player/singer. I was in years past a rare book dealer and one day I was called to an old farmhouse for some books for sale. I searched thru the house with the owner an old Yankee New England farmer. I opened a closet door and there was a guitar leaned against the wall. I took it out it was a beautiful acoustic Yamaha. I said how much for the guitar? He said ""if you can play a song on that guitar you can have it." I played Your cheating heart... that guitar sat on the backseat of my car for the next 10 years.

  The left handed white Fender Strat, what a present for an 11 year old! Amazing considering the cost to his parents at the time.

  The guitars are amazing,but the story and real people behind it, old photos  of 13  years old kid now as old man  and with the same guitar ,but still playining are beautiful

  I would pay a fortune for that stratocaster posing as a gibson les paul, it would be very rare!!!

  I&apos;m from North Carolina in the heart of what has come to be known as Bluegrass music country. I ran into a music dealer from my town at a bluegrass festival talking to Sonny Osborne of the Osborne brothers. Dave had his 1934 Granada and Sonny had his, the same model and year that Earl Scruggs made famous; this was in the mid-80s. Sonny offered to buy Dave&apos;s Granada for $11,000 cash, or more if he&apos;d take a check. Dave had been dealing in rare banjos and guitars for decades and passed, since there were only 5 RB-Granadas made in 1934. Earl had one, Sonny had one, Dave had one, a collector in Indiana had one, and #2 was missing. Still is as far as I know. Today that would be a quarter-million dollar banjo. The one in this video is a 4-string which would make it a TB or a PB. There were over 500 of those made, but in all there were only 16 RB-Granada Gibsons made. <br>So check your attics, folks! #2 is still in the wild!

  Unbelievable. &nbsp;That $3 Mastertone banjo was the find of a lifetime. &nbsp; I would have paid TWICE that! &nbsp;LOL!
