I was a little frustrated that we never learn the name of the gentleman with the Telecasters and the Beatles photograph, nor the name of his band, so I did some digging on my own. The name of the band in the photo with the Beatles was The BG Ramblers, the house band of The Peppermint Lounge in Miami Beach, sister club to the famous club in NYC. The guitar player for the BG Ramblers was Billy Price, so my guess is the gentleman is Mr. Price himself. Before he played with the BG Ramblers he played with the Biscaynes, a rock and roll group from Toledo.

That Tele Custom. Second I saw it, just knew it was worth a fortune. Today in 2026 it’s worth even more. The 1954 LP gold top also has increased substantially from its 54K appraisal here

Those National steel guitars are amazing...they look brand new! I don't know if I've ever seen guitars that age in such pristine condition. Just incredible.

I met a guy at Winfield one year who was a professional jazz singer and who was also a vocal coach. He mentioned that Jim Baggett of Mass Street Music ( the appraiser for the Martin 000-42) was one of his students. I was surprised to hear that Jim’s was also a vocalist, but the voice coach said no, he didn’t coach him in singing; when Jim’s saw his first performance on Antiques Road Show, he realized that he sounded like a hick so he took lessons to become a better speaker!
