  The corpse of our former Rite Aid is in the process of being inhabited by a DG. It’s reportedly gonna be a “fancy” DG, “with produce and stuff.” Mind you, another DG is a couple miles down the road, still open, still staffed by one inmate - i mean, manager - and still full of box-clogged aisles. Can’t stop the kudzu.

  Honorable mentions: Thy manager must ALWAYS be a chronic smoker who has been divorced at least once and overshares to customers about how much they despise their former husband/wife (they secretly want them back more than anything in the world). That, or they are a super chill but overwhelmed 20-year-old who got thrown into the position because everyone else jumped ship and suddenly they had seniority. <br> <br>If thou be a customer, then thou shalt always choose to go down the aisle that the DG employee or retail merchandiser is working and annoy them as much as possible by getting in their way and staring at products for ten minutes, asking them where stuff is, or making them move their pile of junk that they had nowhere else to put aside so you can pass with your cart.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZWWCcDH73A&amp;t=198">3:18</a> as a retail employee I feel like we should have a giant banner to point at that says “Don’t Blame Us, It’s Corporate” whenever a customer feels the need to complain about something that is 100% not a store level decision.

  Went on a road trip in 2024. First time to Dollar General territory. &nbsp;They really were everywhere. &nbsp;My son really REALLY wanted this Halloween snowglobe, but I was nervous about traveling with it, so we mapped out the very last Dollar General we would pass before we left the territory of Dollar Generals and I told him if that Dollar General had it, &nbsp;we&apos;d buy it for him (since we&apos;d be home the next day). Well, I guess prayers work, because that spooky kitty snowglobe is on permanent display in his room. <br><br>Thanks for the memories, &nbsp;Dollar General.
