I added a 24 kwh Sigenergy battery to my 14 years old 5kwh solar and also a 10 kwh new solar system. Absolutely fantastic! It generates way more energy that I need, just waiting for approval from distributor to sell power back to the grid (BS burocracy...)

I just went through this exercise to add batteries to my existing solar system. I ended up replacing everything again as it wasn't feasible to upgrade my Fomius inverter to include the back up capability I was after. A real shame to have to scrap a perfectly good 5 year old system and send it to landfill. I think a lot of people will end up in this situation. Horrible for the environment to have to do this (but good for the back pocket).

Hi everyone,

Thank you very much. I currently have a sonnen hybrid 9.53 Dc coupled battery and inverter installed on 2022 , it is 7.5 kw and got only 980 cycles on it. I am planning to use federal rebates and put alpha ess smile m 10kw inverter and 28.8 kw at the top of it.
Some electricians are not willing to install them together even independently. One electrician said they can install it independently but got no idea, which one will work first or second to discharge.

From your experience, how can this be done in right order? I just don't want to simply waste my sonnen battery and I am happy if both products work independently. What's your suggestion regarding this? Thank you!

Hi,
I have 6.2 kw panels installed 10 years ago? Can I go for battery without disturbing it?

I’ve got a new property being built with a 10kw system included, not really interested in the 5kw battery and 5kw inverter on offer. I’m just going to get the panels installed and connected. Can you dc connect an sig to this.

Hi I have a question for you. I have a Panasonic Evervolt 2.0 Battery, Inverter System and Smart box.The Hybrid inverter is AC coupled to my 40 panels on the roof. All with individual IQ8 microinverters. I have an 18 kwh battery setup with option to increase capacity to 72 kwh. My question is, the batteries are 51.5 volts, If i get additional batteries (not panasonic brand) Can they be added onto the existing hybrid inverter? The reason for this question is Panasonic recently announced they were exiting the solar and home storage market.

Roof top isolators. That makes about as much sense as putting the ignition key on the outside of your car. Who are those idiots that come up with these regs ? Oh let me guess. State government bureaucrats who dont know jack about anything electrical.
My old system has isolators on the roof and in the house !
The new system just has an isolator switch on the inverter.
If you get oxidation on any exterior isolators you have the potential for increased resistance and fire hazard ! Especially hazardous with DC that doesnt like long runs or breaks in the line.

Q1. My house got 2phase connection will be able to use 3phase 10 kw hybrid inverter instead of 1Phase 10 kw Hybrid inverters?

Q2. And my house got 2Phase connection and I planning to go for solar and battery systems ( 40kw Battery and 10KwHybrid inverters) some solar and battery installations advice to use 10 kw 1Phase Hybrid inverters to support 40 kw battery systems or 1Phase 2 hybrid inverter to support 40 kw battery systems.

my questions is 3phase hybrid inverter to able to connect to 2phase connection? If not, why can't able to connect to 3 phase Hybrid inverters to 2phase lines?

Please adviseand let me know what is other option to my above concerns or case?

Thank you.
