People have yet to realize that Pegasus actually is a big D&D fan and equipped the duel arenas with a dungeon master AI which likes doing things "for content" to have an entertaining tournament.

19:10 In the anime, they explain that all 3 god cards are immune to trap cards, and the effects of spells only affect them for one turn (that's why when Maric uses Monster Reborn on Ra, it only stays on the field for a turn before going back to the graveyard).

Dark Sage lets you play a spell during your opponent's turn, but you get to pick the spell from your deck. That's how/why Yugi had Makiu, and then utilized Monster Reborn in the very next turn.

For the Nightmare’s Steelcage interaction with Slifer, that is correct because the effects of the three Egyptian Gods are treated as both effects and attacks, and the Steelcage blocks attacks. The effect of Buster Blader also includes Slifer because by anime game mechanics, Slifer is treated as a Dragon-type, and Obelisk and Ra are treated as a Warrior-type and a Machine-type respectively.

I'll always make the argument that almost every time someone says he's cheating the system, which is controlled by computers kaiba made, allows it and is built with that function programmed in. They live in an alternate universe, different rules

7:00 in the manga, Mako is actually surprised that when he floods Yugi's field, it's more effective than it should usually be, but then he just shrugs it off and continues dueling. So at least in the manga, the moon affecting the tides is properly for shadowed.
