  Best Cassie quote: &quot;Who won? &nbsp;It doesn&apos;t matter. &nbsp;He went the distance, and him and Adrian are in love!&quot;<br>You summed up the entire point of the movie perfectly.

  Everyone goes into &quot;Rocky&quot; thinking &quot;I don&apos;t like boxing movies.&quot; It takes watching it to realise it&apos;s <b>not</b> a boxing movie. It&apos;s a brilliant drama about life, about resilience, about the struggle to find your place in the world, about finding love, about making something of &nbsp;yourself no matter where you&apos;re from; the boxing is just a metaphor. And everyone comes out of &quot;Rocky&quot; thinking: &quot;Wow! That was so different to what I expected and it was *so good!*&quot;

  Sly wrote the entire story and script himself, and wrote the character of Rocky for himself because he was getting nowhere with trying to land acting roles… the studio offered him upwards of $360,000 to to sell them the script and allow them to cast a typical Hollywood leading man in the lead role and he turned them down.. despite the fact that he barely had 2 nickels to rub together and his wife was pregnant at the time… he took a chance on himself and the rest is history.

  I love how Rocky lost in the first round of the Patreon poll then made a comeback and beat the others out. Sums up the spirit of Rocky.

  When Mick tells him to stay down, it&apos;s because at that moment, Mickey is more interested in Rocky living than he is in Rocky going the distance.

  The turtles, Cuff and Link, are still alive and live in a bowl in his Beverly Hills home. He posted pictures recently on Twitter. The same turtles!

  That&apos;s the beauty of the ending of this film. &nbsp;Creed won, and you can see him celebrating in the background, but to Rocky and Adrian it didn&apos;t matter. &nbsp;He accomplished his goal and they were locked in a bubble, just the two of them, celebrating their own victory together, oblivious of the crowd and noise and mayhem around them, with the announcer shouting &quot;Apollo Creed!&quot; as they&apos;re saying I love you to one another. &nbsp;Nothing mattered but each other in that moment.

  RIP Burt Young (Paulie). You were a part of a group of actors that made this film great.

  Rocky lost but he won respect. Especially for himself.

  Rocky lost the fight, but got his shy girl to face her fears and openly choose him. That’s a win!
