Something that took me years of watching this movie to notice is how Adrian completes her arc in the same moment that Rocky does. She took up no space at the beginning of the film. Never said what she felt or wanted. Tried to literally disappear. In the end she pushes through the whole crowd of people, into the middle of the spotlight to tell Rocky that she loved him.She said it first, expressed what she was feeling and what she wanted.

My wife went into Rocky rolling her eyes at me because I was trying to get her to watch a boxing movie, and came out labeling it one of her favorite films ever.<br><br>The first Rocky isn't a boxing film: it's a love story that happens to be about a boxer!

I remember seeing this movie in 1976 and it's the only movie where at the end, the entire theatre stood up and cheered for 10 minutes, I've never witnessed that at any other film!

Just like people misjudge First Blood as a mindless action movie before watching it, Rocky is often mistaken for a punch in the face boxing/ sports movie. Well, they both have the HUMANITY of a gritty drama with character’s journey and lots of heart.

It never get's old to see folks expecting a sports/action-movie and getting a great love-story, a social drama and and underdog story all on top.

The three judges came to a split decision-one voted for Rocky and two for Creed so Creed wins and keeps his championship.
