  Very cool old vehicle. Good to have good oil in there to replace the milkshake especially with the Babbitt bearings in that 216. It sounds great, a little more work and it’ll be a great yard mule

  Whenever I flood something I learned a long time ago to go to wide open throttle and crank it to clear the excess fuel and give it plenty of air. They will almost always start that way

  This is truly bringing life back from the dead.  Its rare enough to revive, maybe restore.  Finding or making correct parts will be the biggest challenge.  The leaves and other debris really add extreme patina

  I&apos;m still astounded that my Grandma &amp; Pop with 4 kids, &nbsp;my Mum being the eldest, &nbsp;moved house from property near Coomandook SA to farm near Coonabarabran NSW.<br><br>The Chevvy blitz was converted into a semi that hauled many many tons of grain bags then bulk side bins, &nbsp;wool bales, &nbsp;fertilizers &amp; manures, &nbsp;firewood and all sorts.<br><br>I had the privileged honour of driving it for a few harvest seasons before she &amp; her trailer was retired and replaced by the &quot;flintstone&quot; R model Mack and a bogie trailer. &nbsp; &nbsp;Which very quickly became my favourite.<br><br>But there&apos;ll always be a special place in my heart and fondest memories for that Chevrolet blitz, <br>that made all what followed possible.
