  I rode one years ago, a friend's bike. The acceleration was so sudden, so violent, it frightened me. The people who ride these things in earnest, using all that horsepower, are superpeople, I'd say. I'd never need more than 1/8th throttle...

  Similar feeling on my 30 yr old VFR750......superb engineering but it's like riding around at tick over when you're going plenty fast !

  a lot of people go across Europe  on them all the time they are fantastic bikes I loved mine till some low life stole it one night mine black and grey I can't afford another  I'm crying in my drink now

  Just sold a k8 i had for a few years. Special bikes, but just too tempting to be really naughty. No modern electronics ie abs or tc, theyre very much a bike for the more experienced riders. I'm not sure i needed 104mph out of 1st gear, but im glad ive now scratched that itch! Im at an age where i appreciate a little more comfort, so i swapped it with a newer Katana. Feels much less intimidating. Still plenty fast, same engine but detuned top end with a bit more midrange and shorter gears. Gotta love a Suzuki😅
