Many pre 2007 bikes, as stated, are below the threshold and can be registered with TFL as such. I did it with my 2004 TDM900. You need the CO from the importer/manufacturer and it costs around £75 for the exemption. Hope that helps some people.

No bikes are going to be 'banned' from UK roads. All that's likely to happen is that new models will face more stringent tests. The answer, resurrect as many as those old classics as you can get your hands on, and ride free. I have a 1961 BSA A10 and a 2001 Kawasaki W650 (carburettor), I'll probably never buy anything later than that.

All these rule emission changes etc are nothing more than a way of getting more Taxes from the ordinary motorist because it is easy picking for government to go after the Motorist. What you are not told is Taxes don't all go on public services they go to the Central bank to pay towards the Debt to the Private Money Changers who are the Creditor.
