I loved the Quad on BET too. I think they did a great job of interwining the old cast and new cast with contemporary issues. The first episode moved way too quick, I kept rewinding like I missed something. The pace was too fast for my liking, in general, but I loved it by episode 2. I was shook when Senator Byron/Papa Pope/Joe Morton popped up on my screen. The same when we discover Denise’s son. Amir is really charming and I’m invested in Shaquille+Deborah. I was a little disappointed that Rasheeda was stereotypical in the beginning and the highly regarded President Davenport was shady. We definitely need more, longer episodes.

Both my husband and I attended HBCU’s and we watched the first two episodes with our 15yr old daughter (she’s also watched a little of the original series). I liked that she could see the things they touched on and we could add real life experience to it. When they announced the reboot, I knew it would be good due to Debbie Allen’s involvement. So far they’ve done a good job with the original cast and the newbies.

I didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. I was a kid when the original ADW came on and it's one of my favorite shows. And I agree, some people need to let the original be the classic it is and enjoy this show as a continuation of Hillman's legacy.

Amir had the relationship with the visiting writer and that’s why they didn’t  replicate that  I think they made the correct decision Loved the season!

I throughly enjoyed the show. I didn’t know what to expect, but felt they did a good job of blending the old with the new.<br>I’m definitely ready for season 2.

In the original series, each season covered a full school year. Since that seems like the same plan for this sequel, ten episodes is not enough to fully develop stories, it does not allow the writing to flourish.

I like that they touched on Neurodivergence also if we look at Whitley from the original it’s clearly obvious she is Autistic coded and Her father De-Wayne is ADHD coded if you watch the original show in modern context.

I like Amir’s character and the fact that he has layers and is not a stereotype.

I would call it and I believe they are branding A Different World as a revival. Bel-Air is a reimagination of Fresh Prince.

As for my critiques, I wanted more episodes. I&apos;m GenX, and I remember shows having upwards of 20 or so episodes. &nbsp; Now in this digital age shows are 8 to 10 episodes so the pacing is quicker where we need time to develop the story a bit.
