  So fun !!!<br>Williamsburg is the gold standard for decorating around here!<br><br>I went to Williamsburg on a class trip in 1958. I liked the Governor&apos;s Palace best.<br>The tour guide was great. Ever since then, I have wanted to be a tour guide.<br>I made a drawing of the Capitol that year and colored it - I may still have it. <br>There was a picture of the Capitol in our history book on the inside cover on both pages, and I always liked it.<br><br>When I was grown, we went to Williamsburg at Christmas time. Back then the outdoor Christmas decorations were very elaborate and included fruit. I may still have a book of Williamsburg at Christmas I picked up somewhere which showed the fancy decorations. I understand that recently they may have toned them down a bit as a nod to being more authentic.<br><br>Going to the Williamsburg Pottery used to be a big thing among some of the relatives when we were younger. My Mother-in-Law gave me a gray and blue vase from there. Later I found more items from a yard sale. After she passed away, I got the pitcher that matched my vase. Since then I have found more items at the thrifts, and now I have 10 pieces on the wall shelf in my kitchen. It is so pretty! I have two little planters and placed succulents in them, which gives the display a nice touch. Last week I added a figurine I found - it is a little farm girl with 2 ducks or geese and a bird house with a gray base which matches the gray in the pottery.<br><br>My niece&apos;s husband likes to play the organ, so when they visited here they made arrangements for him to be allowed to play the organ at Bruton Parish Church. The organist made an appointment and showed my relative all about the organ and played some sample pieces. My relative kept waiting and waiting and waiting, and finally was allowed to sit down and play the organ. When he finished, the church organist said he could come and play it any time he wanted to! Pretty good, don&apos;t you think?<br>.

  It&apos;s hot. This came up in my feed so I&apos;m rewatching for some Christmas in July! You guys need to come to one of the concerts with harpsichord at Wren Chapel or Bruton Parish!

  Martha Washington&apos;s first husband, Daniel Parke Custis is not buried at Bruton&apos;s cemetery- it&apos;s just the stone.

We always seem to go to Williamsburg when it&apos;s cold..<br>Williamsburg is great any time of the year.   Yes, years ago when I would visit, they wouldn&apos;t speak to you unless you spoke them the way they spoke in colonial times.
