Most Europeans don't like root beer because the base root of root beer is sasparella and in Europe, sasparella is used as a flavoring in medicines because it's powerful flavor can mask the bitterness of medicines.

Many people don't like root beer, but having a scoop of ice cream in it to have a root beer float makes a world of difference!

I grew up in VA and made many trips to Williamsburg as a child. My parents wouldn’t take me to eat at The King’s Arms Tavern until I graduated high school. They said I needed to earn that experience 😂😂

That on the table is what is called a Hurricane Lamp, it is to keep a light even when wind is blowing .The oil version is in a metal base that won't shatter and a metal lid clamps down holding the glass firmly to make it less likely to cause a fire should the lamp get knocked off in a storm. I wonder if they had venison and period vegetables, I would have definitely had that.

Bread, booze and stews probably describes my life. Williamsburg was a yellow school bus field trip every year from grades 6-12. <br>One field trip I was put in charge of the popcorn basket over the kitchen fireplace, and I caught the popcorn on fire because I was listening to the history guide instead of paying attention to the popcorn. <br><br>Nicola's white eyelet blouse is stunning- and I do not normally comment on clothing. And I grow some flowers just to decorate food.
