  As a Sicilian,  I thank you for this video lessen. I have always felt that I am a part of the Italian family and proud of my ancestry.

  My mother's people are from Naples, father's from Partanna, Sicily. I remember my paternal great grandmother telling us that her grandfather was Greek. I wonder if there were any Arabs mixed in there, too?? So interesting!

  yes we are  we are all italians  im Sicilian .napoli ,and barese.  we re all italians. just leave us alone and yes we are the only Latins. non italian white people leave us alone

  Bravi, hai colto pienamente l'Italia. Anche la Sardegna è come la Sicilia, però, come hai specificato, ogni regione, ogni provincia è un corpo a sé. L'Italia è unita solo sulla carta ed è soprattutto sulle tasse 😂😂😂😂

  Sicily was occupied by many different countries the moors were there for 200 years, i never saw any difference in my father or brother-in-law from other Italians they were Sicilians because we all lived in the US maybe in Italy you can see the difference. I do think Italians talked louder than Sicilians. You would think Italians were deaf my Italian relatives were very loud.

  Sicily fought for being part of the newborn Italy because they were fed up with the Spanish government (Moti siciliani) which had been exploiting the territory of Sicily, generating extreme poverty for the land workers, richness for the nobelty and bands of rebelling thieves (i briganti).<br>I think this was the worst historical period, when all the greatness of Sicilian culture was destroyed 😢

  My ancestry comes from Trentino Alto Adige very northern alpine Italy and Austria. I have nothing in common with Sicilians.
