  Hot take: People never appreciate how much of an impact Part 1 really had on the story, even after Dio’s death. Every single thing that happened with Jonathan, the Stone Mask, the Joestar bloodline, and Dio’s hatred basically set the foundation for generations of conflict afterward. Even after Dio was gone, the Joestars still seemed cursed to constantly get dragged into tragedy and conflict because of their heritage. That includes Josuke v Kira, Giorno v Diavolo, and ending with Jolyne v Pucci in the OG timeline, as she basically broke the Joestar curse.

  I think Kakyoin's backstory coming in right at the end is actually a good thing, since it recontextualises the entire part up to that point and in doing so makes rewatches more interesting since you can now consider his how backstory affects him in the main story.

  About binging, not a Jojo specific thing, but my hot take is that it&apos;s generally a bad media consumption habit that has been normalized way too much. It&apos;s not always bad, if a story grabbed the consumer to the point they enter a form of flow state, comsuming large quantities of the media is alright. But more often then not, I see people bingning for the sake of binging. Consuming for the sake consumption, just to get a mental checkmark that they&apos;ve consumed the title. Actually not consuming the whole title in one go, taking breaks, reflecting on what has been consumed can encrease the long torm enjoyment of the media so much. Especially if the story is episodic in some way, like Jojo.

  My Hot Take: Even though it wasn&apos;t Araki&apos;s original intention for him, I personally love how in Part 5 Fugo didn&apos;t go on the boat and isn&apos;t seen again as it makes Fugo the one of the most interesting characters to talk about and analyze in the series. The idea of someone being to scarred to go up against a big threat is very realistic and it is not something you see often in manga. The fact that he doesn&apos;t appear again at all is also really cool because most stories would have the character come back later to help the main characters.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zST_wPJ87Fo&amp;t=746">12:26</a> I can personally attest to this, as someone who got into JoJo well after Batch 3 released.<br>Part 6 is up there as one of my favorite parts. I was so genuinely confused by the almost universal malaise that surrounded discussions of anything other than Made in Heaven.<br>Also, I am a firm believer in the idea that Jojolion will be similarly beloved once animated, even though it is considered somewhat weaker now. Keep in mind that Parts 5 and 6 were kinda considered mediocre before being animated.
