  Long Standby at switching off is unnecessary. Simply switch off main power after switching into Standby.<br>I know what i&apos;m saying, because i&apos;m an old Electronics Engineer 😁

  Food for thought... Home stereo tube amps don&apos;t have standby switches. Old tube radios never had a standby, and they all lived and worked for a long long time...

  Best use for a standby switch is when changing guitars with the unplugging/replugging going on. You won&apos;t get all the noise/popsbuzzing.

  Another thing that might at least kill the tone of your tube amp is input voltage. In my experience, this can vary from clubs to bars to private parties. It definitely affects the tone. If you want it to be consistent, then consider a voltage regulator.
