  My grandfather introduced me to falling and processing wood since I was twelve getting all the beetle kill out of the property up in Alaska, grandpa showed me once how to fall a tree and how to process the wood, the rest was up to me, it forever changed me to be a better person as a young man and the man I am today I absolutely loved it. He told me all the work needed done before we could go salmon fishing. I bust my butt off to get the work done because I also had never been salmon fishing which spoiled me for any where else back home in Oregon. These videos reminds me of those great memories, thanks Billy Ray for sharing your experience and skills!

  I never thought watching a grown man chop wood could be so memorizing.  I've only experienced the maul bouncing off splitting campfire wood.  Buckin' makes it look so easy.  Much respect!

  Getting close to lightning my wood stove. Each year that first burn is always special, you then look back on all the hard work it took to prepare the firewood. <br>Two days before I head to the Bunyan event, I am looking forward to seeing many new friends and all families I have met in the past five years. <br>Blessings for all those traveling to this special event . 🙏♥️♥️

  Good fire wood but I felt his pain when he said ohh that’s stringy. Even with a splitter it’s just stringy.
