I just retired on June 30, at 63, with 1.2M with ZERO debt (including no mortgage).

Medically retired 4 yrs ago. At 56. And single. Get about 30k from Ssdi was mortgage and debt free. Still<br>Am. My monthly payment covers all my expenses. Probably at that time with investments , 401k , and checking savings accounts. I was sitting about 315k ish. 4 years later I’m almost at 500k and I took out about 10k last year. Plan again this year. from my bridge account. I travel nationwide 2-3 x a year. Go out concerts , casinos , ball games etc. I don’t sit home 100% of the time. I have a monthly budget I stick with. I’m frugal but, not cheap. I’m almost 61. Hopefully my funds keep growing.

Thanks! Yeah at 63 and now dealing with work forcing me to drive 3x a week (3h wasted!) to the office to sit in front of a computer doing exactly what I can do at home is making me rethink retirement before 65. Time is indeed our most valuable asset.

Great video, as always! Really interesting angle on the pre-medicare phase of retirement. So many clients are afraid of having to bridge that gap, but getting their health in tact during that time is absolutely priceless. Retirement is a long game!

All I need is $1.5M? Oh boy! That means I only have about $1.8M to go before I can retire. For a moment there I was worried.
