  I was traveling as a 14-year old with my Christian dance group from Finland to perform at the summer Olympics in Atlanta '96. Our tour bus took us to the Brownsville/Pensacola revival (extempore). I remember sitting on the balcony in this church all mesmerized. I couldn't help but run to the front and give away all of my travel budget, as the young lady sang "Come running, come running, come running to the mercy seat.." I left the place empty handed in more ways than one. I have later found the truth and it didn't cost me my pocket money. It cost me everything I thought I had.. as I repented from my sins, placed my trust in Jesus and received grace. There is nothing I want from this temporal life, but to be sanctified. Come, Lord Jesus!

  My eyes began opening when I realized that the sins that used to burden me were not being lifted. I used to cry all the time in church but I went back home defeated. This happened till Jesus in his mercy delivered me from my emotionalism and taught me how to use my brain to practice my faith.

  i lived in Amsterdam, Holland, at that 'Revival' time and even there it was getting famous. Many people I knew were excited about it, some even went to visit there. I had been saved for a few years, not completely matured in the faith yet, but I really understood this thing was NOT a good thing.

  Todd Bentley boggles my mind. And it's disturbing that Christians in the audience applaud as he tells about kicking people during the healing services! 🙄

  This “revival “ was what woke me up. When God plucked me out of the NAR/WOF movement. My sister was going there every week. All my friends were traveling to it and coming back to PA with the “ fire”. I had to work and couldn’t go. Thank God! He spared me. My sister was really good friend’s with the worship leader at beginning of the circus. He told her that there was really strange things going on behind the scenes and something was not right in his spirit. He did step down and someone else took over. I praise God I am no longer in this polluted river 🙏

  Sometime July 2008 Todd Bentley came to Evangel World Prayer Center for the Thursday night service, and a few days later Perry Stone comes for his week-long meetings...ugh so glad I'm out of that mess, I was a teenager back then.
