  My mother is a Hanks. I had always heard from my great aunt that was an author/Geneologist that we were related to Lincoln through his mother’s side. I researched it and found that my 4x great grandfather, Charles was Lucy’s brother. That makes Lincoln my 2nd cousin 4x removed. <br>I just wish genetic genealogists could somehow trace to whom could be Nancy’s father. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  I cannot claim to be descended from the president but circa 1950s at a family reunion they were told that he was a relative. Now I think I know what the thing was. I am descended from the MAN Abraham Lincoln was named after. My ancestress was Abe Lincolns cousin and her father was Abraham Lincoln.

  This is identified as an AI production. The documentary sources are not identified. Real Historians footnote their work, explaining where they got the information and allowing us to go to those same sources to double check their findings. Is any of this true? We can’t be sure without the customary use of references. I usually don’t waste my time with AI productions, but unfortunately didn’t notice this one had come from that dub be a source until after I listen to the story. I would like to know if it is a Reliable account.

  If I remember correctly, his mother died when he was about 9 years old. &nbsp;The mother he fondly referred to was his stepmother.
