  Oh! I remember Princess Alice. She had a villa in Neo Heraklion, Attica, near Athens, which still exists. She used to go up to a church next to my parents' house, 2000 meters away from her house. She was a wonderful woman. She was dressed in a gray nun's habit and had her pocket full of candies. As soon as we children saw her, we would run and call her "Your Highness". She would tell us: "Call me sister," and she would give us the candies. I was 13 years old in 1967 when she left Greece and I hadn't realized that she was deaf and dumb. Her voice was sweet, tender and unmistakable. She was very humble and loving. After she left, I learned that she was Queen Elizabeth's mother-in-law and I couldn't believe it.

  With 18 pregnancies, Queen Anne would have had osteoporosis, probably severe, just to add to her joy.  Severe osteoporosis can be as painful as bone cancer, though that is rare.

  Prince John was not sent away or forgotten, he lived at Sandringham, which his parents loved and lived there quite happily..He suffered from epilepsy and was well cared for..His friends were the children of estate workers who often came to play with him, as well as his own siblings..Princess Alice, mother of Prince Phillip spent her latter years living at Buckingham Palace, she was a nun, when she died she was allowed to be buried in Jerusalem in honour of her rescuing Jewish families from the Nazis in Greece during the 2nd world war..The Monarchy of Britain did not abandon her, she was the much loved mother of Prince Phillip and mother in law to Queen Elizabeth..

  Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. I have Scoliosis- it’s severely painful, if not diagnosed in youth, so a brace can be worn to straighten it. Scoliosis has wreaked havoc on my spine for decades now, and thanks to the opiate crisis, now people who NEED medications for their pain, cannot get it.

  Watching at 2-10pm from Brockville, Ontario, Canada.  So glad society has reached a point where disability is not ashame on families.  It took centuries to open eyes to this defect in all humans.  It wasn’t only the rich or royals who felt this way.  In our time doctors were still telling women to put their child away or abort.  So sad .

  The Tsars son Alexi was a real reason the Tzar was over run... had he not been inflicted with the royal disease from Victoria.. Rasputin wouldn't  have been the mad monk  rulig the crown, and the family wouldnt have been so protected if the child wasnt so fragile..

  I love learning about these disabled royals...it helps me cope with my own disabilities and inspires me to keep pushing forward despite the challenges in my way...if they  could do it, so can I

  I have moderate to severe Sculliosis in my spine.. it curves in on my left side and it curves in my lower back as well.. ive had it all my life. I have to sleep on a long pillow every time I lay down and i have to sleep also with a pillow between my legs to support my spine while I sleep.. and sometimes I find it hard to breathe.
