  I&apos;m autistic and ADHD, as well as the Co-Lead of a National Neurodivergent community at my job in the US, and a mentor for neurodivergent professionals.<br><br>First off, I understand the neurodivergent need to apologize for everything, but you don&apos;t need to apologize for crying over the song. That&apos;s what Ren&apos;s songs just do to people. But yeah, this song really hits hard. I especially was looked at as &quot;broken&quot; because I was mostly nonspeaking for the first decade+ of my life, and my dad has a lot of ableist views. <br><br>I also wish you luck on the diagnosis journey. Just remember, self-diagnosis is valid in the neurodivergent space.

  My life partner is AuDHD and this song hits different for me too. He said that Ren and Webby really understand how his brain works. Make me happy for him that he now has this song.<br>Thank you for your reaction ❤❤

  At 75 years of age and looking back on how I found it just so damn hard to be &quot;normal&quot;, &nbsp;I&apos;m pretty confident that I would have had one of these &quot;ism&quot; labels fastened to me. But in those years these labels didn&apos;t exist yet, and I was just rejected as &quot;weird&quot; and &quot;unlikeable&quot; by others. &nbsp;My salvation through it all was my love of reading, which is still as strong as it ever was. &nbsp;Through books and stories I could find worlds where the focus wasn&apos;t on me, and at the same time gain a deeper understanding of why people and the world were the way they were. In later years i added music to this, and spent a lot of time listening to every genre of music i could find.<br>My hope for every &quot;difficult&quot; person is that they will be able to find activities and people who will be that &quot;safe place&quot; for them that reading and music were and are for me.<br>I try to be &quot;scientific&quot; and intellectual&quot; about life, but intuitively I can&apos;t help but think that it is no accident that people like Ren and Chris are appearing at a time when all of these &quot;neurodivergent&quot; &nbsp;traits seem to be on the rise. &nbsp; it&apos;s like we are being given an opportunity to learn more about our internal makeup and how we experience and react to it all. &nbsp;Medication can help, but the real answer has to lie in learning to accept all of the various parts of ourselves and others.<br>And thinking that way leads me back again to the message of &quot;Hi Ren&quot;: &nbsp;it&apos;s not a battle to be won, but a dance to be learned!

  i have a (now adult) son who‘s neurospicy and has ADHD. school was so hard, but i did everything in my power to help him navigate it. &nbsp;the heartbreak of seeing his open heart being rejected and ridiculed by his peers made me want to burn the world down. i feel you mama, and my heart goes out to you. it will take all of your strength, patience, and determination to get both of you through those years but i can tell that you got this. a mother‘s love is the strongest force in the universe. &nbsp;❤

  I&apos;ve been listening to this song on repeat since it came out. Webby&apos;s verse gets me every single time. I was late diagnosed with ADHD (f37 from 🇦🇺) and I immediately sent an email to my psychologist and told her to listen to it because it&apos;s how I feel everyday.

  Some reactors cry through it all, some laugh. Both work. I don&apos;t believe I have a tism myself which is why this song, your reaction and the comments are so important.

  I love how you spoke about your son. I have worked for an autism support agency for two decades now and everything you described are things I hear from parents all the time. Getting people to understand how your child relates to the world is so hard. But he is very lucky to have you and your husband for parents. --- I also appreciate your comments about Webby&apos;s lyrics. As someone who works in this field, I was really put off by them at first because these are all the things you should NOT be thinking or saying about someone on the spectrum. But that&apos;s the whole point, isn&apos;t it... it&apos;s the message that so many neurodivergent people receive for much of their lives, and we need to fix that. -- I also like the honesty they have brought in about self-medicating to cope, especially if you don&apos;t get the diagnoses until you are an adult.

  ❤🫂❤I really think Ren is one of the greatest educators of our time. Yeah, learn about his music, learn about his singing/rapping. But much much more than that, he&apos;s opened my eyes to things I&apos;ve never really thought about...money/greed. Mental health issues/suicide. Street violence/domestic abuse. And now Neuro divergence. I remember when my kids were at school - some sweet kids labelled as disruptive/difficult/slow, always excluded, never selected. &nbsp;I was wrapped up in my busy life, I never gave it enough thought. I&apos;m thinking now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your beautiful son with us x
