Loved Jackie magazine ! Was at boarding school and it was banned (our parcels were opened) we got the milkman to smuggle it in (for a small fee each !) So innocent though ... lots of us turned out to be 'wild childs' as soon as we got freedom ! Better days for young girls imo though

❤ Loved Jackie my mother worked in a newsagent and I got my copy every week and the Jackie Annuals at Christmas I had no idea it was printed by a wee Scottish family! Love You both am 62 ❤

Recall a poster of Donny in his purple beret on my bedroom wall. Listened to Puppy Love playing as No 1 on my wee white transistor radio at lunchtime in my first year of Secondary school. David Cassidy was too old for me. Loved Jackie and reading the problem page - was it ‘Cathy and Claire’? I had no idea it was published in Dundee being from Edinburgh - always assumed it was English. Reading Jackie was like being in secret club! My first job aged 15 was working in a newsagent - so I could afford to buy my copy. Jackie was amazing! Thank you for the trip down memory lane ❤ I am 66!

Wow, what a treat. I’m 66 and when I was a kid I reserved my magazines from the local newsagent and the highlight of my week was picking up my Jackie magazine. I was a Donny fan and loved the posters. I grew up with Nina and loved everything she did. This episode was absolutely wonderful, and a fabulous trip down memory lane. I didn’t know that Nina had a long term partner and I’m so pleased that she and Grant have one another. Thanks for a great interview Siobhan, you’ve made my day my week my year, truly.
