  All these vehicles should be recalled because DPF and EGR systems cause too much damages to engines

  bloody worst thing ever added to a diesel engine..they should be recalled and removed and remapped..or should be like pip claim..if you've bought a new vehicle with dpf filter you could be entitled to compensation lol..because ive lost so many days work due to these stupid things and i drive 50miles each way daily on motorway so no reason not to regen.. absolute crap they ruined diesel engines

  I use FTC Decarbonise additive.  Add 40ml each tankload.  Works.  Never had the DPF light show.

  Informative vid. &nbsp;As a carpenter ive had to work on my own diesels last ten years.<br> It more or less covers all the points.<br>If you spend another 15 minutes reading the comments &amp; replies &nbsp;aswell as taking notes i reckon youd be just about up to speed on my knowledge/ experience over the last ten years &nbsp; &nbsp; .. in an hour &nbsp;.

  My engine regens in about 240 miles normally. Just after that mileage is reached I plug my cheap scanner to see if it has done so. Once it didn’t and I tracked the problem down to an oil contaminated connector to my downstream temperature sensor

  Another thing worth mentioning is driving RPM.<br><br>Diesel engines produce a lot of torque, so it&apos;s easy to slip into the habit of using that torque unnecessarily, rather than higher RPM. &nbsp;Check your car&apos;s handbook to see what the recommended driving RPM range is, and stick within those limits where feasible.<br><br>I was guilty of doing this, and my car smoked terribly. &nbsp;After learning I was doing it wrong, I stuck to the recommended 2000-3000 RPM for my car, and now the exhaust is clean, even with mostly short journeys.
