  We absolutely love Destin and we were just talking yesterday that we need to plan a trip soon! It is only about 2.5 hours from us so we really don&apos;t have an excuse! We love staying at Sandpiper Cove because it is gated, in the middle of everything and has beach access right across the street. It has a canal perfect for fishing, par 3 golf course, multiple pools and hot tubs and a nice restaurant on site, Louisiana Lagniappe. We also love eating at Marina Cafe and they have a BOGO early bird special that can&apos;t be beat! Uncle Bucks bowling alley in Destin Commons is another fun outing as it is ocean themed and just different from any other place we have played before. That&apos;s just a few of my tips but gosh, you can&apos;t do Destin wrong and it looks like you guys had an absolute blast!!

  We owned a condo at Silver Shells in Destin from 1998-2000. &nbsp;Loved shopping at the eclectic Banana Barts (&quot;cool stuff you&apos;ve gotta have!&quot;). In addition to the Back Porch, we also loved Louisiana Lagniappe and Beach Walk Cafe. &nbsp;We have since moved to Panama City Beach. &nbsp;Same sugar-white sand. &nbsp;A short 75-minute drive east on US-98!

  Dewey Destin on Calhoun Ave <br>McGuire’s - fun Irish inspired pub<br>Stewby’s in Ookaloosa <br>Donut Hole - lovely sit down breakfast (grab a key lime pie to take back to your condo 👌🏼)<br>Mimmo’s for Italian - incredible pasta and the best woodfired pizza<br><br>Ookaloosa Pier - we love to just walk down and chat with the fisherman and see all the wildlife down below
